PAWS has a goal of purchasing an Mobile Spay, Neuter, and Adoption Trailer for the Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. The estimated cost of an adoption trailer is $270,000. Adoption trailers are a vital component to helping adoptable dogs find their forever homes. They provide shelter at events, a space for dogs to decompress in between meet & greets, and allow for the Wayne County Dog Shelter to bring more dogs at once to events, saving precious staff time and resources. Our goal is to ensure that every dog is spayed or neutered before adoption, and this new trailer will make that dream a reality. By having the trailer onsite, at the shelter, we will save time, reduce costs, and make the entire process more convenient for staff and adopters alike.
But that’s not all – the climate controlled mobile unit will also allow us to participate in offsite adoption events, bringing our pups to the people and helping them find loving homes faster than ever.
