Become a PAWS Volunteer
We would love to have you volunteer your time and help support PAWS mission to provide support to the
Wayne County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.
PAWS members frequently donate their time and energy to various projects that benefit the shelter, from organizing adoption events to enhancing our facilities. If you have a certain skill and a bit of time to give, we’d love to hear from you! Your unique talents can help us continue to provide the best care and support for our furry friends.
We have several fundraising events and projects throughout the year and need many hands to make them successful.
You can help in many ways…
- Event participation (registration, sales, event specific roles)
- Event planning
- Event set up/clean-up
- Auction item procurement
- Secure sponsorship
- Share event advertisements on social media platforms
- Provide media team with pictures and videos while at events
- Completing Projects at the shelter
- Network with the community and serve as an ambassador for PAW and our mission
- Distribute advertising materials
- Recruit Volunteers
